Jealousy

snug under the layers
thoughts dirty green
boggle the mind, while
slithering like the snake

warning racket,
causing havoc,
within!

I haven't had a chance to say hello and make posts over the past few days, it seems like the rest of the week will be slow as well. But I will be visiting you soon...in the meantime, stay safe. Happy Blogging. I hope to free myself up soon and then get back in the game, miss you all much. Hope you are well, thanks for all the wonderful comments

I was just thinking about you yesterday and how I hadn't seen you around. It's good to have you back. You've made a good, fresh start with this poem. And, you haven't missed any of the fun that's coming up for National Poetry Month. I will have a post everyday next month for your writer's soul. Take care, UL.

I love that you focused our attention inward. Sometimes I think green is the wrong color to describe just how invasive jealousy is. Glad you were able to write today.

I like it. The inner mind don't always stay calm.

Most of our torment is caused by our own mind. Humans are a strange lot. Thanks for this poem!
