I really like the first poem. Nice and concise; you painted a simple but powerful picture.
your second speaks so clearly to how my mind seems to work...sometimes i really feel stranded within myself when i am in turmoil.
Stranded can be a good or a bad experience depending on the circumstances surrounding that imposed solitude. Beautifully done.

I like how each image from each stanza seems to balance the one before it. I tend to gravitate toward the peaceful images.
