what am i abandoning?
i can't help wonder
was it worth exploring?
the road least journeyed
what am i missing?
i am no risk taker
what am i loosing?
i have to ponder -
as I continue to follow
the experienced traveler
before mine.

This was triggered by a favorite poem of mine from Robert Frost. It is an inspiring poem for me, one I wouldn't mind reading over and over again every time indecision captures my mind and plays havoc with it. This is for the Poem In Your Pocket piece I would like to remind my readers of...

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

your poem made me wonder about where in the scheme of things,, risk takers and chaos thrivers fall... i always thought myself wise... but now i guess,, i was more like just lucky.....
Strangely, this gives me an eerie feeling, and makes me want to know if you're going to be all right on the path that you've taken...following or less trodden...
I love that Robert Frost poem:), (often quoted by my dad) and yours too... the road least journeyed is a great one!
I love Frost and his style of writing. So, your choice was a good one. And yes, I think that exploring a new road is a good thing even if bad things happen. I think you learn how to grow from those experiences. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day.
Nice one by Robert Frost...reminded me of another one his poems that we read in high school, forgot which one, though.
