Wonders This Winter!

Powdery snow –
Pure white, virginal
Nature’s innocence!

Slushy ice-
Impure and tainted
Aged with experience!

Do not be deceived -
Hidden wonders still reside
Discover with true desire!

Hidden wonders - I like that idea.

Your poem reminds me of all the fun I used to have with slush and ice in the backyard, imagining a polar world of long dark and large animals. Wonderful stuff here. Thanks.

Absolutely beautiful UL. I left the powdery ice long time ago to swap it for slushy ice

yes the slush always does feel so tainted compared to the snow...

Only you could make mucky yucky slush sound beautiful!

Laughing my way out to shovel, again, the pure white virginal stuff that's covering my world. I'll come back to reread this when the snow is gone and I can get to the next layer - I see several! Nice job!
