Shadows

parallel worlds
though ours appear,
you are not me
and I am not you -
insurmountable walls,
mysterious boundaries
separate our lives
where beating hearts
find no returns.

don’t you see?
what divides us
is our thoughts -
separation is a myth
built in the far recesses
of our subconscious.

underneath we are one
our souls are one and
my heart bounce to the
rhythm of yours-
look deep and you will know,
there’s no such thing as
parallel worlds.

Thanks Pia for the inspiration, I was scratching my head for inspiration on the second day of National Poetry Month, and looks like 3WW came to the rescue. I do hope Bone's father feels much better soon. This is the second poem, twenty eight more to go.

Hey UL; saw your comments in two places; I couldn’t believe it; WOW! A comment from UL, it just made my day! Rather it made my “year”:) I have been following your blog for a while, came over from Anamika’s and Lakshmusings; I really really admire your work and am in awe of your talents; you make it seem so easy – poetry, prose or any other literary work. So, you can imagine my excitement when I saw your comment; thank you for taking the time… I have been a lurker, but I really admire your blog – both actually and love them both; I can’t stop gushing! Will continue to follow yours (hope you don’t mind) and once again you are awesome! And thank you :):) you are my inspiration for my poem blog and the attempt at NaPoWriMo is also inspired by none other than you; And, did I tel you how talented you are? thanks,

I've read this several times UL and I feel like I am swimming and towing two different ideas, both not true by themselves. But when joined, are the truth and one.

The whole piece is like a thought process going on in your mind. A lovely piece.

I'm so glad I agreed to take part. I've just posted my piece for the third. Thanks for suggesting it.

I wrote 33 if my memory is still functioning.

You'll do fine........

insurmountable walls,

That made me so sad. I think because I've been there, wanted to do away with those walls and boundaries... and failed. Thus, lives stay separated.
