Unstoppable

Limerick
Margin drawn in vain,
Agitation-inflicted pain
Ripped heart thuds
Distant crow scuds
Death broke the chain.
****
Haiku
Time stands still
as fiery death arrives -
causing blood-chill.

UL, this was very sad. I guess there's no room for hope when the end result is death. At least their in peace now. Have a nice weekend. Happy Writing~

i think crows are beautiful,, but we all seemed to want to equate them with death... can we thank poe for that?????

Your rhymes are always spot on!

I got the impression the crow died by mistake. Am I wrong?

I think we equate crows with death because they are scavengers, eating the remains of corpses, like vultures.

Those seem like hard words to work in. Bravo for pulling it off in a meaningful way. The last line was my favorite.

I like this - it has several layers and a building tempo. Nice work!

Great job! A limerick is a compact rhythmical space to pack in that bunch of words.
