Mind Gory.

Cute as a button, chopped like mutton
I pretend to glutton, all for Mr. Sutton!

My color faded then my soul jaded
Sadly trodden, traded and invaded

Could fate be any harsher? Sure yes.
Could luck run out faster? Oh mess.

Days of glory turned cheap old story
This my life story, time changed hoary!

I like the runaway style of this - the energy that protests and then retracks.

Nice rhyming.

This doesn't sound like too much of a downer. It's a person who's down on her luck, temporaritly. Lots of snappy rhymes keeps the tone upbeat.

How many people end up with regrets and realize too late that you only live once? I think it's a common story. Happy belated 3WW.

Always, no?

I liked this line especially though. It brings truth to the surface.

Happy new year :)

I sort of took it as a fittingly hurried and short account of the passing of time, with almost a humorous twinge to it.
