Embarrassed

'Fire, fire' I heard her cry
Shot out of bed, feet awry
Clumsy hands, searched for glasses
Half awaken state, overlooked molasses
"Where you off in such hurry?"

Stopped my tracks for quick retreat
Afternoon naps often trouble, no mere treat!

I, too, am a great proponent of afternoon naptimes. One of life's most sweet indulgences. Your poem is cool and funny and a clever self-portrait, hello,

I wish I had a talent for rhyme and meter! Those naps are like gold when something doesn't interrupt them.

Wonderful! Having woke from a dream a time or two thinking it was real, I can so relate.
