Ring-Ring

My phone lost signal -
Chilly night turned windy,
I stumble across the rubble.
***
Windy and creepy outside-
I stumbled in through the door,
The phone rings.
***
I answer the phone,
Silence stumble over an eerie noise-
Curtains whoosh in the windy air.
***
Phone drops dead –
I stumble backward,
Into the windy night outside.

Phones lose signals and people stumble backward. Very true

I liked the repetitive build of this somewhat scary poem. You done really well here. Keep up the good work.

Have a nice day.

Oh I didn't find that funny at all!
I hate that thing where you get the phone and there's silence - cold-calling or whatever it is - sinister.

I love the revisited words. I read it twice, and my imagination tried to fill in dastardly deeds or bad news or drug-induced paranoia. Very versitile.

Each one is good, but together they are really eerie.

I like all the repetition in this, and especially the line:

Silence stumble over an eerie noise-

I'm always afraid I'm going to answer the phone upstairs and someone is going to answer at the same time downstairs, when I thought I was alone!

This reminded me of that :)
